Ronald McDonald House of Milwaukee

The Ronald McDonald House has been a home-away-from-home for thousands of families just like yours. We hope your stay with us will be comfortable and comforting. In this section, we've included some basic policies of our House, along with everything you need to know about checking in and checking out.

To get started, many families wonder how to arrange their stay at the Ronald McDonald House. If this is your first stay with us, you'll make arrangements through the Family Services Department at the hospital where your child is to receive treatment. Your name is then placed on a waiting list at the House. Room assignment is determined by the date you were placed on the waiting list. Please call once per day to check on availability. When a room becomes available the manager on duty will call you. Families may check in or out between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. Returning families should contact the House directly at (414) 475-5333. If a family has not stayed at the House in the last two years, they will need a new referral from the hospital.

The House has wonderful amenities to make your stay especially comfortable. A beautiful Great Room welcomes families into the House, complete with a three-story fireplace. A game room, sun-room and playroom are also located on the main floor. We are the first House to have a non-denominational chapel in the House. Our newest additions, the Computer Room and Children's Education/Resource Center, will enable our families to keep in touch with home, work and school. Each guestroom has a private bathroom and beds are made complete with a handmade quilt from our McQuilters. The House has full service kitchens for families to use as well as free laundry facilities and laundry detergent. Our Secret Garden is a favorite spot for children and parents.
