Milwaukee Ronald McDonald House volunteers give their time and talents to provide a home-away-from-home for families with children receiving medical treatment. House Volunteer Opportunities Duties House volunteers perform a variety of office and light housekeeping duties. Volunteers do not babysit or act as counselors or social workers. Requirements Men or women 18 years or older In general good health Able to accept supervision Flexible and willing to perform all volunteer duties Dependable One-year commitment to a minimum of one three-hour shift every other week Training Applicants will be interviewed by the Volunteer Coordinator. Volunteer training takes place several times a year. Only trained volunteers will be assigned. Shift Schedules Shifts are scheduled from: 9 a.m. to noon Noon to 3 p.m. 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Hospitality Hospitality is the Ronald McDonald House volunteer's main function. Making a difficult time in an unfamiliar place as normal as possible is the goal of the staff and volunteers. Our House is available to families 365 days a year.
